Welcome to Belmont University College of Law. There are many good law schools, so why should you choose Belmont Law? At Belmont, we teach law the way it needs to be taught – from a twenty-first century perspective. Law firms expect new lawyers to “hit the ground running.”
Consequently, our faculty of experienced teachers, scholars, and practicing attorneys integrate traditional legal analysis and practical legal skills, with the goal of graduating practice-ready attorneys for today’s global legal market.
At Belmont Law, we continue many of the features that have made Belmont University unique: small classes, academically challenging curriculum, student-centered instruction, community service, and global perspective. We incorporate ethics, professionalism, and integrity into everything we do. We believe law students become professionals on the day they enter law school and not on the day they graduate.
We also believe lawyers have a special responsibility in American society. We value public service, and our goal is to produce leaders in the bar and in our community.
We hope you’ll take the opportunity to review our website to learn more. We also invite you to visit us here in the growing and vibrant city of Nashville. I would be delighted to sit down with you personally to explore either how Belmont College of Law could prepare you to become a first rate attorney, or more generally the many opportunities to serve others with a law degree.
All the best,
Alberto R. Gonzales
