Telecommunications Services Manager
How long have you worked at Belmont University? What attracted you to your job at Belmont?
I have worked for Belmont University the past sixteen years. Shortly after moving to Tennessee, I applied for a position at Correction Corporation of America and was hired. During the physical, I immediately made a plea to God to provide me with another position in a more positive environment. Later that day, I received a call from Belmont University for an interview. Once hired by Belmont University, I knew my prayer was answered. It was an atmosphere of higher learning, Christian values and friendly staff that attracted me to Belmont University.
What is the campus community like for staff working at Belmont?
It would be unfair to say that the campus community here is perfect. There are many strengths and weaknesses at any university or company. However, I can unequivocally state that a person will not find a better company or university in this city where unity, kindness and compassion for all individuals are paramount. Here at Belmont, I thoroughly enjoy an atmosphere where I love to come to work.
What would you say to someone who is considering working at Belmont University?
I would say to someone considering Belmont University, if you are looking for a community where you would be challenged, yet have the liberty to share your thoughts and ideas, then consider employment at Belmont University. Additionally, I would offer the advice if he or she is looking for a positive atmosphere that upholds Christian values, consider working at Belmont University. Lastly, if a person is looking for a “fit” that feels like family and believes in and encourages each other, then absolutely consider working at Belmont University.
