Sally C. McKay MBA, SPHR
With over 15 years experience in Human Resources, Sally McKay has been the Director of Human Resources and Affirmative Action Officer at Belmont University since 2000. She was the first Director of Recruitment and Placement for the Massey Graduate School of Business at Belmont from 1991 - 1996.
Prior to becoming Director of Human Resources, she worked for First American Corporation as Assistant Vice President working in Human Resources and the Retail Bank sections. McKay's vision is to provide Human Resources policies and strategies to support an effective and positive work environment. Although her HR background is broadly focused, she has key experience in recruiting, compensation and benefits, and performance management in higher education and the financial services industry.
McKay received her BS in Biology from Marshall University. She received her MBA in 1990 from the Massey Graduate School of Business at Belmont University and was inducted as a member of Beta Gamma Sigma. She achieved the Senior Professional in Human Resources certification from the Society of Human Resources in 2001. Appointed by Governor Phil Bredesen to the State of Tennessee's Workforce Development Board in 2005, she is also a member of Nashville's HR Executive Forum, CABLE and serves on the Human Resources Advisory Board for the Nashville Chamber of Commerce. She is an avid walker and the proud mother of Becky and Sean.
