Clinic Staff


Krystal Huesmann, RN, BSN

Krystal Huesmann graduated from Grace College of Nursing in 1987 with her ASN and The Ohio State University in 1991 with her BSN. Krystal has worked in student health since February 2005.

Prior to working in student health, Krystal has specialized training as a Travel Nurse and has worked as a nurse in various settings including family practice, home health care, managed care and pediatrics. She also has worked as a marketing representative and nurse manager.

Krystal is originally from Warsaw, Indiana and lives in Franklin with her husband, Matt, who is a media producer including music, photography, and video production. They have three children including a Belmont nursing student! Krystal enjoys entertaining, gardening, cooking, and being involved in her church and her children's schools, as well as Williamson County Young Life and iShine Ministries.


Dr. Sally Burbank, MD, Physician

Dr. Sally Willard Burbank completed her medical school training at the University of Vermont college of Medicine in 1986 and her internship and residency at the University of Tennessee in Nashville at Baptist hospital in 1989.  She has practiced Internal Medicine in Nashville for over 25 years. The married mother of a recent college graduate and college Senior, sally enjoys gardening, writing, reading, and bicycling.

Amy Guidera, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC

Amy Guidera is a two time graduate of Belmont University’s School of Nursing. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree in 2011 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree in 2007. Amy is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and posseses a healthcare background in primary care, urgent care, community health, pediatric emergency, and level I trauma critical care. She has also traveled abroad with Belmont to provide nursing care in Cambodia and has experience teaching and precepting in higher education as a former Adjunct Clinical Instructor. In 2019, she was accepted into Belmont University’s Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program and is currently pursuing her degree.

Amy is a full-time Nurse Practitioner in Health Services and enjoys interdisciplinary collaboration with other academic departments as well as being a part of campus policy initiatives. Amy is extremely passionate about college health and is a member of the American College Health Association (ACHA) through which she is pursuing her College Health and Wellness Professional Certification. She is an ACHA Aspire Mentee and participates in college health conferences and leadership summits to better serve the Belmont University campus community and all the students whom she cares for. She lives in East Nashville, Tennessee with her husband (David) and 5 rescue animals (Emerson, Edgar, Gracie, Josephine, Ginny). A lover of coffee, books, research, ingenuity, dance, martial arts, and anything nerdy, Amy envisions every patient encounter as a special opportunity to connect, facilitate, and inspire each individual to be involved in their own health and happiness.

Kathryn L. Dambrino, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC

Kathryn Dambrino graduated from Belmont University with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree in 2016 and is an ANCC board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). Kathryn has worked as an FNP in Health Services since Fall 2016 where she has developed a passion for college health. She is currently a faculty member in Belmont’s School of Nursing teaching FNP and DNP courses to graduate nursing students. Before working as an FNP, Kathryn’s clinical experience included 6 years working as an orthopedic and trauma nurse, and 1 year travel- nursing in Melbourne, Australia. Kathryn believes in providing high quality care to her patients using holistic and evidence-based methods.

Kathryn’s research interests include opioid overdose, naloxone distribution, college health, influenza vaccine uptake, and travel medicine. She has published and presented her research on opioid overdose and naloxone distribution. Kathryn is a member of the American Nurses Association, Tennessee Nurses Association, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the American College Health Association.

When she is not taking care of patients or teaching, Kathryn enjoys writing music, exploring Nashville’s food scene, playing with her dog Birdie, and traveling anywhere/everywhere.

Sarah Thompson, MSN, FNP-BC

Sarah Thompson joined the Belmont Health Services team in October 2018.  She is a Family Nurse Practitioner with experience working with all ages at walk-in clinics, specifically for Vanderbilt Integrated Providers and Take Care Health.  She has particularly enjoyed working with the college health population over the past year.  Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Sarah worked as a Registered Nurse at University of Tennessee Medical Center and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Outside of Belmont, Sarah is working towards obtaining a DNP degree and currently serves on the Executive Board for Middle Tennessee Advanced Practice Nurses.

Outside of work, Sarah can be found spending time with her husband (Philip), and their dog (Reagan) and cat (Dale). She also enjoys exercising, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Alison Neblett, MSN, FNP-BC

Alison received her Bachelors in Nursing from the University of Tennessee in 2006. She worked in Pediatric Critical Care while also pursuing an advanced nursing degree. She graduated from Belmont University with her Masters in Nursing in 2010. Since then she was worked as a family nurse practitioner in a retail health setting. In this role she had a lot of experience with college students and developed a desire to help educate and empower them to make healthier lifestyle choices.

When she is not at work, Alison stays busy as a mom to three young children.  She and her husband live in the greater Nashville area and are avid local sports fans. She also enjoys running, reading books, and traveling.  

Registered Nurses

Julie Hawley, RN

Julie Hawley graduated from University of South Dakota with her ADN and worked at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD on the pediatric floor unit and in the PICU for 19 years until her move to Nashville in 1998. She started work at Old Harding Pediatrics as a staff nurse until coming to Belmont in 2005.

Julie appreciates being able to take care of students and staff and strives to make a difference in their healthcare.

Julie lives in Brentwood, TN with her husband, Kevin, and has 4 children and 5 grand boys. She is involved in the Fabulous Friends for Africa which is a yearly fundraiser for meeting the needs of Africans. She also enjoys running and has a bucket list to run a half or full marathon in the 50 states.

Kerri Lewis, RN, BSN

Kerri Lewis graduated from Temple University (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) in 2016 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She started her nursing career in the Emergency Department at a Level II trauma center in the suburbs of Philadelphia. After visiting her college roommate who moved to Nashville, Kerri decided to move down south as well. She absolutely loves Nashville and all the city has to offer. She has worked at St. Thomas West on a post-procedural cardiac unit. Kerri came to Belmont in the spring of 2018.

Kerri is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Nursing Education through The Pennsylvania State University- World Campus. In her free time, she enjoys running (well, more of a walk-jog), trying all of Nashville’s new restaurants and coffee shops with friends, and relentlessly cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles (she has no shame in this, whatsoever).

Gabriel Seals, Office Manager

Gabriel Seals holds a BA in English Literature from Tennessee Technological University and an MA in English from Belmont University. A homegrown Tennesseean, he loves the mountains, the forest, and literature.
