Health Fair

Belmont's Health Fair for the campus community was held on Wednesday, October 5. The purpose was to showcase the unique talents and healthcare resources available at Belmont as well as provide a venue for distributing wellness information, performing some health screenings, and facilitating opportunities for student participation. The fair was intended to serve as a springboard for additional wellness programming throughout the year.

A committee was formed including representatives from each school in the College of Health Sciences, Athletics, Recreation and Fitness, and Human Resources.

The Fall Health Fair was organized and presented by students. Two Pharmacy students took on the lead with HS director acting as consultant. More than 100 other students participated either by volunteering for setup, manning information tables, making posters and presentations, and marketing. SAPB sent volunteers for the information table and data collection. SGA provided a grant to help defray the expenses for Pharmacy student displays. There were 37 tabletop exhibits and health screenings.
