Betsy Hay
As a Ph.D., R.N., I teach the N311 seminar, which helps RNs return to the rigors of school; the N400 seminar, which challenges senior students with 'real world' content to build their clinical confidence; and the N471, independent study for RNs.
My doctoral work with elderly nursing home residents at Case Western Reserve University inspired my current research with the assisted-living community. I am an end-of- life trainer with a mission to graduate students who are able to provide compassionate, knowledgeable care to dying patients and their families.
To add zest to my life, I play tennis, garden, and explore the outdoors with Kaylee, my wheaten terrier. At home, jazz or opera are usually playing. My wish list includes learning how to play the mandolin, cook gourmet meals in 10 minutes (or less), and juggle.
