Thank you for visiting Belmont University's graduate nursing Web site.
Belmont admitted its first graduate nursing students in 1994. Since then, our faculty, students, and graduates have built a reputation for clinical, academic and professional excellence.
The graduate program offers a challenging curriculum leading to one of two degrees: Master of Science in Nursing with the advanced practice clinical specialization as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). We also offer a Post Graduate APRN Certificate for students who have already earned a graduate degree with APRN certification and desire additional specialty certification as a family nurse practitioner.
Graduates are eligible to take the national FNP certification exams offered by the American Nurses Credentialing Commission (ANCC) and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Our first-time pass rate for national FNP certification has been 100 percent for the past twelve years!
Our small classes, individualized faculty attention, excellent computer facilities, and skilled clinical preceptors all combine to provide students with the tools to succeed in today's changing healthcare environment.
