Steve Lasley

As the Vice President of Finance and Operations, Steve Lasley is responsible for overseeing a variety of administrative and facility areas across campus.  Mr. Lasley provides leadership an oversight for Finance and Accounting, Human Recourses, Facilities Management, and Construction.

About

Mr. Lasley began his career at Belmont University as an adjunct professor in 1996, while also serving as the VP and Chief Financial and Administrative Officer for the Christie Cookie Co from 1994-1998. In 1998, Mr. Lasley was appointed Vice President of Finance and Operations for Belmont University.  A role in which he functions as a member of the senior leadership team, acting as a financial advisor to the president and the board of trustees.  As a member of the senior leadership team, he also guides the broad strategic and tactical operations of the university.

Additionally, Mr. Lasley provides executive leadership, vision and service for the departments of Finance and Accounting, Human Resources and Facilities Management. In which her is the point person for capital improvements (master plan, financing, design, construction and renovations).

Ensuring that the campus grounds and building are operating as “green” as possible, is of the utmost importance to Mr. Lasley.  Because of his leadership, Belmont University has been named in numerous ways for its “green” efforts.

Mr. Lasley received his Bachelor of Science from The University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Georgia.  He is also a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Tennessee.
