Applying for Endowed Scholarships

Endowed Scholarships

Scholarship award amounts and eligibility criteria vary widely. While the number of scholarships grows each year, funding is limited.

All accepted entering freshmen and enrolled continuing students will be considered for each University-administered scholarship for which they are eligible. Transfer students must have completed one full-time semester at Belmont University before they will be considered for University scholarships. Official registrar office records will be consulted to determine major, class, GPA and other selection criteria.

It is not necessary to apply for a particular scholarship or have prior knowledge of eligibility criteria except as indicated. The following list of University scholarships is for information only. Students do not apply for individual scholarships.

A number of scholarship funds have been established at Belmont through the generosity of alumni, friends, corporations and foundations. These scholarships are awarded annually according to the various criteria established by the donor. Renewal of these scholarships may vary with the condition established for that particular award.

Guidelines for the majority of designated and endowed scholarships require that the recipient demonstrate financial need. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is used to establish need and eligibility for scholarship programs. Please contact the Office if Financial Services to receive information about the FAFSA.

All designated and endowed scholarship awards are based upon available funding. Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis and eligibility will be reviewed annually.
