Shoot. Edit. Options. Specialize. Get behind the camera and produce compelling video content in Belmont's Video Production major. The Video Production major provides you with the necessary audio and video skills to produce music videos, promotional videos, training videos, electronic press kits and multimedia content for the web.

The Video Production major is designed for students who want to produce, direct and create a variety of programming content. Students develop skills in both multi-camera live production and single-camera production and post-production.

As a Belmont Video Production student, you’ll have access to the state-of-the-art Media Studies Center that houses a multi-media instructional computer lab, broadcast studio, editing suites and a student lounge. Our Macintosh computer lab is equipped with the latest video editing software, including Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere.

Our students have interned at various local television stations including WKRN Channel-2 (ABC), WTVF Channel-5 (CBS), WSMV Channel-4 (NBC), WZTV Channel-17 (Fox) and WNPT Channel-8 (NPT), as well as entertainment agencies, such as Headline Country, Warner Music Nashville, Storyville USA, Tacklebox Films, Franklin Theatre, and Big Idea Entertainment.

You’ll even have the opportunity to participate in full-time, professional, semester-length internships in New York and Los Angeles through the Belmont USA Program.
