Sound Reinforcement and Tour Production
Sound Reinforcement is the art and science of live audio. Whether in a house of worship or a multi-thousand seat arena, it's the audio engineer's job to make sure the performers sound great and everyone can hear and feel the performance.
Students of Audio Engineering Technology participate in classes and college sponsored events that prepare them to enter this exciting and challenging profession. In class, students gain an understanding and knowledge of the technology, science, and art used in modern, club, concert, theater, and arena production. In the field, students are given the chance to apply their knowledge by participating in numerous concert and dramatic productions.
From the intimate Curb Cafe' to the 1,000-seat Massey Performing Arts Center to the 6,000 seat Curb Event Center arena, students are given unsurpassed opportunities to sharpen their artistic and technical skills.
