Mr. Billy Prince

Billy Prince
Hello, and welcome to the recording studio facilities at Belmont! My name is Billy Prince. I am the manager of the recording studios in the Center for Music Business at Belmont. One of the fun things about my job is that I can give away hours and hours of free studio time to the students at Belmont!

I came to Belmont at the beginning of the fall semester of 1991. Since that time I have worked as studio manager in the former Turnley Studio, and was a part of the planning and construction team for what is now the Center for Music Business. The 9,000 square foot Center for Music Business houses the recording studios where I serve as studio manager.

I came to Nashville in February of 1983 and worked as a free lance recording engineer, session and road musician, and continue to do other studio work as opportunity permits. I also write songs and am a member of the AFM and ASCAP.

Away from work, I spend most of my time with my two sons Elton and Aaron. They are learning to play bass and drums, and we like to jam at home. We also enjoy singing harmony, and singing gospel songs.

In the future, I hope to do more writing, publishing, and producing.
