Belmont Alum, Lucas Boto, returned to Belmont at the end of 2011 to work on staff as the Coordinator of Sound Reinforcement & Live Events in the Curb College. After attending Belmont West in Los Angeles and graduating from Belmont in 2005, Lucas worked for a Nashville artist management company and spearheaded the opening of their west coast office in Los Angeles. After developing artists and starting the California office, he worked for another start-up management company as an executive assistant and helped the LA partner open a new management office. Between these two companies, he worked with artists such as The Wreckers (feat Michelle Branch), Cameron Jaymes, Elliott Yamin (American Idol), Kelis, Jermaine Dupri and others.
After working in artist management, Lucas Boto ventured into the world of live entertainment by jumping on the road as a tour manager. In addition to tour managing events across the globe, he also worked in other positions during his time on the road including roles as production manager, front of house engineer, monitor engineer, and merchandise manager. Over the course of the next four years, Boto worked in collaboration with artists like The Daylights, Dave Barnes, Blake Lewis (American Idol), Jars of Clay, Hanson, and Jeremy Camp both on and off the road. He rejoins the Belmont family on campus to bring experience gained from managing artists and tours back to the students.
