Internships:

Just as is done in Nashville, the Curb College will provide a list of possible companies for internships on the Career Connector website. We encourage students to pursue other opportunities, as long as the internship is approved by Belmont. It is the student's responsibility to secure an internship; the Curb College does not place students in internships.

Housing:

Housing is secured by Belmont when attending Belmont East and Belmont West. You are able to select your roommate/roommates if you choose. We value the community aspect of these programs and therefore require you to live on the University approved site.

In NYC you can expect to be in a facility similar to a furnished dorm room with 1-2 other roommates and a shared bathroom between you. Expect minimal closet space. You do not have a full kitchen in your room but do have a fridge and microwave. There is a shared kitchen in the facility and laundry is located onsite.

In LA you can expect furnished apartment style living with a living area, dining area, kitchen, 2 bedrooms with 2 people in each room, and a bathroom attached to each bedroom. Laundry facilities are not located in each apartment, but are onsite.

Transportation:

You are NOT allowed to bring a car to Belmont East; you will use the NYC transportation system. You MUST bring a car to Belmont West.

Professors/Adjuncts:

We hire a faculty of part-time adjuncts to teach in NYC and LA. These adjuncts are working full time in the music industry and also have a passion for teaching. You will also have a part-time program coordinator in NYC and LA. This person is there for you in case of emergencies, as well as to mentor you on all things NYC and LA!

University Convocation:

Convocation credit is not offered at these locations. All university convocation credits must be completed before attending Belmont East and/or West regardless if you are a junior or senior.

Back-Up Plan:

Should anything unforeseen happen, the CEMB encourages you to have a plan in case Belmont East/West does not work out, either on our end or yours. YOU SHOULD sign up for housing at Belmont University, as it is much easier to cancel than to add your name to a list.

The Curb College reserves the right to cancel the Belmont East or West semester experiences at any time. Each location must meet a minimum enrollment of 10 participating students for the programs to make admission requirements each semester.
