In 1971 Belmont University created a music business program designed to prepare young men and women for operational, administrative, creative, and technical careers in the music industry. The Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business (CEMB) was established in 2003 to provide educational programs of study for future entertainment industry professionals. A quiet world leader and the only freestanding college of its kind, Belmont’s Curb College offers three degrees and four areas of study—Music Business (BBA), Audio Engineering Technology (BA or BS), Entertainment Industry Studies (BA or BS), and Songwriting (BA or BS—and boasts an impressive faculty of academic scholars and authors, entrepreneurs, songwriters, producers, sound engineers, and entertainers like Don Cusic, Mark Volman, Thom Schuyler, Steve Schnur, and Tom Cavanaugh. Brad Paisley, Trisha Yearwood, and Josh Turner rank high among our many talented and successful alumni, and the CEMB has been featured in Billboard, Time Magazine, Rolling Stone, and Business Week. Please explore our website and don't hesitate to contact us if you don’t find what you are looking or or have more specific questions.
