The mission of the
College of Business Administration is to be an innovative learning center

Goals:
The College of Business
Administration has the following goals:
- Provide a personalized,
career-oriented and practical educational program in Business Administration
which emphasizes the four themes of leadership, innovation, private
enterprise and entrepreneurship.
- Equip students
with the ability to think critically, communicate effectively, accept
responsibility, make effective decisions, and operate in diverse work
environments.
- Emphasize quality
classroom instruction within the parameters of Christian and ethical
principles.
The College of Business
Administration offers the following programs for undergraduate students:
- The Bachelor
of Business Administration (BBA) with a major in Business
Administration and a concentration in one of the following:
Accounting
Business Administration
Economics
Finance
Health Care Management
Information Systems Management
Management
Marketing
Music Business
- The BBA curriculum gives the student a minor in Business Administration
in addition to the area of concentration.
- A Minor Field
program requiring 18 hours in directed business subjects.
- In general, the accounting curriculum prepares a student for the
professional accounting examinations. However, the CPA examination in
Tennessee requires 150 semester hours. Undergraduate accounting majors
may enroll in the 152-hour accounting program that provides both a B.B.A.
and Master of Accountancy degrees. Students interested in the 152-hour
program and preparing for the CPA examination should consult with a
member of the accounting faculty to ensure they meet the new requirements.
