Vision:
To positively impact the quality of student's lives by fostering wellness through lifestyle management, experiencing the joy and appreciation of movement through physical activity, and ensuring our majors are competent to enter the teaching, wellness, and sport administration professions.
Mission Statement:
To provide student-centered instruction, conduct research, perform service, and promote health and well-being through discovery, learning, and participation in the study of health, physical education, sport administration, exercise science and health promotion in a Christian community.
Goals:
- To provide intellectually fulfilling programs which prepare students for professional careers or advanced study.
- To provide all university students opportunities for developing healthy and active lifestyles through the general education requirements.
- To promote Christian values and ethical principles through a consistently caring environment.
The Department of Sport Science offers majors in Physical Education, Health, Exercise Science and Health Promotion along with minors in Athletic Training, Health and Physical Education.
