Student Benefits
Many students are overwhelmed by all of the decisions facing
them. Career choices are among the most important, and in many
cases, complex. When you talk with a graduate who understands the
nature of those choices through first-hand experience, it can be
tremendously helpful and comforting. The Career Network can help
you if you're in any of these situations:
- You're new to Belmont or Nashville, and would like someone to talk with about making Nashville your home for the next four to five years.
- You're a transfer student looking for a mentor to help you through the transition.
- You're interested in exploring possible majors.
- You'd like to explore careers for graduates of your program.
- You're thinking about changing majors/programs and want to explore careers in new areas.
As a current Belmont University student, you can benefit from the interaction with alumni by gaining a better understanding of what it means to work in a particular career field. Before contacting an Alumni Mentor, it is important for you to consider your level of commitment and how you will benefit from the suggestions of your Alumni Mentor. As this service is a cooperative effort of the Office of Career Services and the College of Business Career Development Center, the Career Network can be accessed via the CareerConnector website. As a current Belmont student, it is not necessary for you to register for the Career Network, as you automatically have access to the CareerConnector website.
Why should you use the Career Network?
- Provides you with an opportunity to contact alumni to gather information in a low stress situation
