First Destination Data
First Destination (Career Outcomes) Annual Report 2016 - 2017
First Destination Data (Career Outcomes) is a result of information obtained and compiled from two surveys. The Graduating Student Survey is administered to degree candidates in their last semester prior to graduating, and the First Destination Survey is administered to those graduates six months after graduation. Working with the Office of Assessment and Institutional Research, the Career Development team is responsible for collecting, maintaining, and reporting the first destination data. The Career Development team, along with liaisons from each college, makes every effort to contact and/or obtain information on each graduate in an attempt to gain a 100% collection rate. The first destination rate represents the percentage of graduates who secured employment, enrolled in graduate school, or enlisted in military service within six months of graduation that is drawn from the population of graduates for whom data could be obtained and who indicated they had engaged in seeking employment or graduate school.  The overall first destination rate for the 2016 - 2017 academic year is 94%.
