About Student Affairs

The Other 153...

Students sitting outside during Belmont's Battle of the BandsHere in Student Affairs at Belmont, our work is the other 153. What do we mean by the other 153? Most students spend 15 hours a week in the classroom. Learning how to be ethical business leaders, informed politicians, skilled song-writers, and caring nurses.

The other 153 hours of the week is spent in our Student Affairs world. And for us, the learning doesn't stop in this out of the classroom world. The learning takes different shapes and forms.

It is learning how to have the hard conversation with someone you disagree with. It is learning how to be a good roommate or neighbor. It is learning how to handle getting sick or eating properly or excising regularly. It is learning how be who you want to become SO THAT when you graduate you can live into Belmont's mission of engaging and transforming the world with disciplined intelligence, compassion, courage, and faith.

In order to help get you there, our Student Affairs team is ready to welcome you in and help you get where you want to go. From our 150+ student organizations, to our BOLD leadership experience, to our state of the art residence facilities, to our incredible health and wellness teams, we are here to help you make the most of your Belmont experience.

We hope you peruse our website and learn about all the ways to plug in and get connected. And most importantly, we hope you connect with us in person as you take steps to fully engage in your educational process.

You belong here.
