Why did you decide to study business?

Entering college, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do, but I knew a degree in business would offer many career opportunities. I decided to major in marketing and minor in design communications because these areas complement each other and enable me to combine my passion for creativity with my desire to make a positive impact in the world of business.

Why did you decide to study business at Belmont?

I chose to study business at Belmont because I believed the program was innovative and constantly growing. In addition to small class sizes and individual attention, Belmont's program offered me a platform for trying out all areas of business in order to discover what would be the best fit for me.

Has it been what you expected?

Studying business at Belmont has been more than I expected. The faculty and staff are wonderful people that work hard to ensure students the best experience possible. Working alongside them in the Undergraduate School of Business Office was an eye opening experience into all that Belmont's business program is striving for to enrich the lives and futures of their students.

What have been some of your best Belmont College of Business experiences?

I have really enjoyed working on campus with the staff in the undergraduate office because they are amazing people who I have learned so much from. I have been able to implement my project management skills by helping out with various business school initiatives, all while experiencing first-hand the inner workings of an office.

Being a member of the Business Student Advisory Board has also been a great experience. I have been able to get more involved in the business community at Belmont and in the larger Nashville community. I am also thankful to have been inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, an international honors society for business students.

What do you want to do with your degree?

While I still have not completely decided what I want to do after graduation, I believe I would like to either work for an international nonprofit organization or in the book or magazine publishing industry, eventually obtaining a management position.

Why would you recommend the program to others considering Belmont?

I would highly recommend the business program to anyone considering attending Belmont. Students here have so many opportunities to get involved within the school and the community, as well as the chance to learn about an abundance of career possibilities within the business field.
