Information Systems Management

Information systems managers play a vital role in planning the technological direction of their organizations. They help determine both technical and business goals and make detailed plans for the accomplishment of the firm's strategic goals. If you have an interest in technological innovations and enjoy computers and problem solving, a career in Information Systems Management (ISM) might be a great fit for you. Recent Belmont graduates have accepted offers from employers such as Arbor Health, CH Meridian, HCA, Corrections Corporation of America, South Interlink Technologies and the Tennessee State Department of Audit.

All ISM faculty had prior experience in the computer industry before becoming faculty at Belmont, and they continue to be active outside the classroom through consulting. A faculty member's business consultation benefits the student in a number of ways: it helps to keep the faculty member's knowledge up-to-date; instructors are able to teach their students about current, real-life work in Information Technology; and our instructors maintain ongoing contact with potential future employers for students and graduates. These contacts often seek our current students for internship positions and hire our graduates.
