Beta Gamma Sigma


Beta Gamma Sigma is an international honor society that provides the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a baccalaureate or post-baccalaureate (graduate) program at a school accredited by AACSB International.  The mission of the International Honor Society Beta Gamma Sigma is to encourage and honor academic advancement in the study of business, to foster personal and professional excellence, to advance the values of the Society, and to serve its lifelong members.

The Belmont Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma began with its April 2003 induction ceremony. The College of Business Administration has inducted 371 members into Beta Gamma Sigma since the chapter's formation.

The College of Business Administration instituted a student achievement award to honor the Professor of Management whose leadership was credited with being instrumental in the College achievement of AACSB International accreditation for all of its programs in 2001. Known as the Clifford L. Eubanks Student Leadership Award, it is presented to a rising senior member of Beta Gamma Sigma selected by the College of Business Administration faculty as the outstanding student leader of the year.  The recipient is provided special leadership opportunities within the college during his or her senior year.
