How to Apply

For admission consideration, prospective MACC and MBA students submit the following items before the application deadlines listed below:


  • an admission application for The Jack C. Massey Graduate School of Business with a $50.00 non-refundable application fee.  Visit Belmont's Admissions site to apply online.
  • one copy of official transcripts for ALL colleges and/or universities attended, even those from which transfer credits were received plus an official transcript showing a degree conferred.  Transcripts must arrive in a sealed and stamped envelope to the address below or ordered online.   Opened "issued to student" copies will not be considered official.

  • an official GMAT score.   The Jack C. Massey Graduate School of Business offers GMAT/GRE Math Review and Strategy courses three times per year to help you obtain your best possible score.  (*The GMAT testing center provides an unofficial score to test - takers on the test date. Please fax or email your unofficial score as soon as you receive it. The associate and academic directors can use an unofficial score report for interviewing purposes.  Our fax number is (615) 460-6353; email is masseyadamissions@belmont.edu.)  A GRE score can be considered if the test was taken within the last five years.  The overall score must be the GMAT equivalent of 450.  Visit the official GRE site for a GRE/GMAT conversion tool. 
  • two business or academic related recommendations. Electronic recommendations are part of the online application process and can be found on the supplements page after the application is submitted.
  • a one page essay. The essay should include how an MBA or MACC will help you achieve your professional and personal goals. An essay text field is located in the electronic application. 
  • a current resume. PMBA applicants are required to have at least two years of full-time work experience. Although work experience is not a requirement for AMBA and MACC applicants, the university still requires a resume as part of the application. Include any part - time experience, internships, and participation in clubs or organizations. Prospective students interested in applying to the HCMBA must have healthcare industry - related experience. The resume can be uploaded through the online application after submitting the application and fee.

*Applicants who are enrolled before the Priority Deadline may have the option to pre- register for graduate courses.  Applicants who are admitted after the Completed File Deadline will register for graduate classes when regular registration opens. 

 

A Note to AMBA and HCMBA applicants: enrollment is fall only.  There are only 25 spaces available for each incoming class.  AMBA and HCMBA applicants, who meet GPA and GMAT requirements, are interviewed by AMBA and HCMBA program directors upon receipt of a complete file. Fall deadlines listed above apply to the PMBA and MACC programs only. 

A Note to MACC and MBA applicants who require the SAI or SBI: the first day of class for the SAI and the SBI is typically the third Saturday in May.  Applicants who require the SAI or SBI should be enrolled before the summer priority deadline to avoid late registration and a delay in access to online course materials.
