Funding for Overseas Study
In addition to institutional financial aid, there are some outside scholarship opportunities for study abroad. Here are a few of the most common sources:
Bowman Travel Grants: This award is available for any student participating in a CIEE program to Central or South America, the Caribbean, Asia, or Africa.
RobertB. Bailey III MinorityStudent Scholarships: These awards are available for minority students participating in a CIEE in any region of the world.
Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarships: Available to upper-level students who are directly enrolling in a foreign university for one year of study.
National Security Education Program (NSEP): Scholarship money is available to students studying abroad in areas which pertain to national security interests.

Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program is a new federal government program providing scholarships for U.S. undergraduate students receiving federal financial aid for university study. The Gilman Awards will provide up to $5,000 for U.S. citizens and U.S. nationals who are undergraduate students to pursue overseas study abroad opportunities worldwide.
