The Master of Accountancy program prepares students to sit for the CPA exam and pursue careers in public or private accounting. The majority of MAcc courses are taken in the accounting department and elective classes are selected from the Massey School’s MBA course offerings. Classes are held on weeknights and the program can be completed on a full or part-time basis, in as little as one or as long as three years. We offer flexible schedules to accommodate students’ professional and personal commitments, with most accounting courses offered every year and some offered each semester. In addition, all MAcc students complete an international residency that focuses on international accounting and business practices.

An additional characteristic that sets Massey Graduate School of Business apart is the personal attention given to each student's learning needs and professional goals. Enrollments are managed to assure small class sizes (average of 25 students in core classes and 14 in electives) so that students have significant opportunities to interact with each professor and their peers. All faculty are deeply committed to making sure that the learning environment is an effective one for each individual.

For non-accounting or business undergraduate degree holders, the Massey School offers a Summer Accounting Institute (SAI). SAI is offered in a convenient 10 week, summer format with classes held on evenings and Saturdays. SAI graduates are fully prepared to begin the Master of Accountancy degree program in the fall semester.
