Dr. Jennifer Wilgus

Assistant Professor of Economics with Entertainment Industry Focus

Jennifer WilgusDr. Wilgus joined the faculty in August of 2006. She earned both her M.A. in Finance and Economics and her Ph.D. in Economics at Middle Tennessee State University. Most recently, she was Assistant Professor of Economics at Marian College in Indiana. She now teaches macroeconomics and the history of economic thought through the College of Business Administration and entertainment industry economics for the Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business.

Her areas of interest include: household consumption, entertainment economics, and macroeconomic theory. As a Research Associate at MTSU, she worked on economic studies that included: Tennessee Business Retention & Expansion Program, Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce Workforce Survey, 1997 U.S. Figure Skating Championships Music City USA, Cumberland County Playhouse Economic Impact Study, The Economic Impact of the Arts in Tennessee, and Needs Assessments for individual counties in Tennessee.
