Dr. Susan Taylor
Associate Dean
Professor of Marketing

I have been teaching at Belmont since the Fall of 2000. I received a B.S. in Marketing and an M.B.A. from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, LA. In 1993. I earned my D.B.A. in Marketing from Mississippi State University. I worked for 8 + years as an Analyst/Developmental Business Relations Specialist for Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company before returning to school. My work experience has provided me with more insight into practical applications of business/marketing concepts.
I believe as a teacher it is my responsibility to aid students in the comprehension, analysis, and integration of information as well as to help them develop/improve their ability to reason, calculate, and solve problems. This holistic approach to teaching has enabled me to develop my courses to meet the needs of my students and to enable them to continually apply what they have learned in my classes to their other business courses and also in their future business career.
I very much enjoy teaching at Belmont. The small, friendly, invigorating environment makes it a terrific place, and it fosters close student-teacher interactions that enhance the learning experience. Outside of the classroom I enjoy golfing, gardening, cooking, and reading.
