Dr. Gary Hodgin

Associate Professor of Economics

Dr. Gary HodginDr. Gary Hodgin, Associate Professor of Economics, teaches economics courses in Belmont University’s Undergraduate School of Business Administration. He earned a B.Sc. in Economics and M.A. in Economics from Middle Tennessee State University and his Ph. D. in Economics from The University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

His research in teaching pedagogies has been presented at professional conferences and published in academic journals that include International Advances in Economic Research, Atlantic Economic Journal, and the Journal for Economics Educators.

A member of the Tennessee Economics Association, Society for Computational Economics, and American Economic Association, Dr. Hodgin has served the economics profession, Belmont University, his community and his church in volunteer capacities. He was awarded a Teaching Center grant that enabled him to share his pedagogical findings at an Economics and the Classroom Conference in 2000.
