I arrived at Belmont in fall 1995, fresh from my PhD program at FSU, but I am not a rookie. I spent over 20 years in the real world before returning to school. I had many wonderful professional career opportunities which were a direct result of my degrees in accounting. These opportunities also provided challenge, travel, fun and adventure. I have traveled the world, trekked the Andes while on assignment in Bolivia, ice climbed on Mount Rainier, while working in the Pacific Northwest and accumulated more frequent flyer miles than I ever wanted.
I have been an auditor, a management accountant and a consultant. I had the honor of serving as CFO of Miami International Airport and ended my professional career as a consulting partner at Deloitte and Touche. In 2001, I was selected Tennessee Educator of the Year. Working with students is my passion.
I love teaching and helping students plot and plan career opportunities. Nothing is more rewarding than watching a student go from student to successful business professional.
