College of Business Administration

Experiential Learning

Students in the College of Business Administration have ample opportunity to put what they are learning into practice. Not limited to the textbook, both graduate and undergraduate students apply principles and emerging concepts to real-world situations and interact with up-to-date technologies in a hands-on environment.

Financial Information Center

The Massey Financial Information Center allows Belmont business students to access and analyze financial information in a completely interactive environment and gain invaluable experiences using some of the most up-to--date and sophisticated equipment available.

Case Studies

Our students tackle challenging case studies and address the needs of local businesses and non-profit organizations. Area executives incorporate our classes in helping them make strategic decisions and solve business problems. Accounting students are provided the opportunity to prepare income tax returns for low to moderate income residents of the Nashville community through the Internal Revenue Service's VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program each spring.

Business Hatcheries

Students with entrepreneurial interests are welcome to utilize an on-campus Business Hatchery for office space and tools, as well as for meetings with colleagues and clients. The hatcheries are designed to help students develop their ideas into successful business ventures.

Student-run Businesses

Belmont students run campus-based retail and service businesses, gaining a first-hand knowledge of the challenges faced by business entrepreneurs and managers. Approximately 3,500 square feet of prime retail space has been set aside by Belmont University which students use to develop retail or service businesses.

Internships

We encourage students to take advantage of our numerous internship opportunities during their time at Belmont. Internships allow students to try out possible career directions or test a choice of major in a real-world setting. They also provide valuable networking opportunities and professional experience.

Student Organizations

Students have the opportunity to get involved in various business organizations on campus. Learn if Beta Alpha Psi, Beta Gamma Sigma,  the Business Student Advisory Board, the American Marketing Association, Entrepreneurship Club (E-club), the International Business Society and / or Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) are right for you.
