Harry Hollis

Dr. Harry N. Hollis
James M. Medlin Chair of Business Ethics
Professor of Management

Dr. Hollis  is the co-founder and past director of the Center for Business Ethics at Belmont University. His desire to help students become more effective in building ethical organizations is evidenced in his classroom as he brings in his passion for equipping students with the tools needed to make responsible, ethical decisions.

Professor Hollis is an experienced speaker, writer, and consultant involving ethical issues in business, government, educational, and health-care organizations. He has appeared on prime time ABC, CBS and NBC news programs to discuss ethics and management issues.

He continues to work through the Center for Business Ethics to equip people to deal with today's complex ethics issues and dilemmas. One of his favorite quotes is by Princeton physicist John Wheeler who said: "The reason universities have students is so professors can learn! I see students as co-learners, and I believe the best learning takes place in relationships."

Harold Fogelberg
Mr. Harold Fogelberg
Director, Center for Business Ethics

Mr. Fogelberg holds a bachelor degree in economics from Butler University and a Master in Business Administration from Indiana University.

His 35-year business career began with a position with a Fortune 500 company in Indiana. He then worked five years with one of the largest privately held companies in the Southeastern United States. Most recently, he spent 28 years in commercial banking. He is currently an associate of Compass Executives, a Nashville-based consulting company that provides leadership, mentoring, strategic planning, and management services to area businesses.

Having served on a number of boards, Mr. Fogelberg is currently on the Board of Directors of Character Counts! Nashville, a non-profit organization that offers programs in character development and ethics to educational, governmental, and business organizations.

Jennifer WilgusDr. Jennifer Wilgus
Assistant Professor of Economics with Entertainment Industry Focus

Dr. Wilgus earned both her M.A. in Finance and Economics and her Ph.D. in Economics at Middle Tennessee State University. Most recently, she was Assistant Professor of Economics at Marian College in Indiana. She now teaches macroeconomics and the history of economic thought through the College of Business Administration and entertainment industry economics for the Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business at Belmont University.

Her areas of interest include: household consumption, entertainment economics, and macroeconomic theory. As a Research Associate at MTSU, she worked on economic studies that included: Tennessee Business Retention & Expansion Program, Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce Workforce Survey, 1997 U.S. Figure Skating Championships Music City USA, Cumberland County Playhouse Economic Impact Study, The Economic Impact of the Arts in Tennessee, and Needs Assessments for individual counties in Tennessee.
