AlexaAlexa Karpinski: Through the thought-provoking courses and inspiring professors at Belmont, I was prepared to embark upon my internship. Deloitte challenged me to apply the knowledge I obtained in the classroom to the real world. The vast amount of networking opportunities provided me the chance to develop great relationships with colleagues. After interning as an external auditor, I have been able to conclude that this is the career I want to pursue after graduation.

BrandonBrandon Maxwell: The Belmont University College of Business Administration (COBA) has an amazing faculty and staff. Although the classroom learning experience is phenomenal, there is a certain portion of learning that can only be achieved outside of the classroom. The COBA Internship Program gave me the opportunity to apply methodologies I learned in the classroom to the real world. I learned a countless number of things about myself and was able to utilize my experiences in the classroom. The COBA Internship Program has greatly enhanced my learning experience and given me a more informed view of my future.

Katie Allen: As a management major seeking to pursue a career in health care, my opportunity to intern at the Monroe Carrell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt was invaluable. My semester-long internship allowed me to experience firsthand the administrative side of a nationally recognized pediatric hospital. As the Communications Intern at Vanderbilt, I was able to contribute to advocacy campaigns, assist in website development, and work on key marketing materials. I gained a completely different perspective on health care the following semester, as an intern at the Cumberland Pediatric Foundation & IPA. It was here where I worked directly with the implementation of a groundbreaking Tennessee state grant, and where I developed many of my long-term career goals. I would definitely say the College of Business Administration internship program has not only been professional advantageous, but also personally rewarding.

EricaErica Scott: The College of Business Administration provided excellent guidance for me throughout my four years at Belmont, helping me with internships, my resume, and my job search. I spent my entire junior year interning at a brokerage firm that my finance professor helped me obtain. A year after the internship ended, Smith Barney offered me a full-time position for after I graduate. I also planned a fundraising event for Coleman Construction in downtown Franklin during my senior year. Through both internships, I developed real world experience that will really help me in my future endeavors. I cherish the experience I received the past two years and highly recommend that every student participate in this service of the Career Development Center.
