Theme Math Problem

The problem below is in honor of the 2012-13 campus theme, for First-Year Seminar and beyond, of "E Pluribus Unum:  Out of Many, One."  This kind of problem is called an alphametic.

In an alphametic, each letter must be replaced by a different digit.

Consider the alphametic                        O U T + O F + M A N Y = U N U M

We'll assume that we'd like to maximize our oneness, so find a solution for the alphametic that makes UNUM as large as possible.

Note: There are eight different letters that appear, so exactly eight of the ten digits 0 through 9 will be used in the solution.
