Global Studies
Your selections in this segment - whether as part of your major, as a human experience course, as a linked course, as part of the first-year seminar, or as part of junior cornerstone - emphasize that we live in an interdependent world and the need to comprehend that world. Studying global cultures will put you in contact with diverse values, history, arts, and current issues. Of course it is a huge asset that you share Belmont with students from more than 40 countries including Japan, Germany, Indonesia, Sweden, China, Pakistan, Kenya, and Spain. And that you can study abroad in Central America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia - every populated continent in the world.
NOTE: Students will take FOUR Global Studies courses, which are available in various parts of their four-year curriculum: major courses, minor courses, BELL Core courses, tool courses/technical requirements, and general electives.
