Fitness Assessment is a fitness tool that contains a battery of tests. Before anyone starts an exercise program you should first consult with your physician.
Fitness testing and evaluation of a client is an essential first step in the training process and provides valuable information for the trainer and the client. Fitness testing and evaluation offers an opportunity to gather information related to a client's current level of physical fitness.

Purpose:
- Assess current fitness level
- Aid in development of exercise program
- Identify areas of health and injury risks with possible referral to appropriate health professional
- Establish goals with client for their individualized program
- Motivation
- Evaluation of progress
BSLC OFFERS THE FOLLOWING FITNESS ASSESSMENT
Following American College of Sports Medicine Guidelines:
1. Quiet Testing-Blood Pressure, Heart Rate, Height, Weight
2. Body Fat Percentage (3-site skinfold)
3. Cardiorespiratory Fitness (1.5 mile run, 1 mile walk, or 3 minute step test)
4. Muscular Endurance
5. Muscular Strength
6. Flexibility
