JumpStart Weight Management Program
THE 5 W’s OF JUMPSTART
WHAT: The JumpStart Weight Management Program is a free six week weight management and fitness program designed to help members of the Beaman Student Life Center meet their health and fitness goals. The goals of the program are to:
Educate participants about healthy dietary habits
Motivate participants to make healthy lifestyle changes
Increase self-esteem of participants
Promote physical development and healthy weight control for the individuals
WHEN: The JumpStart Program is implemented once per semester.

WHO: The JumpStart Program is offered to members of the Beaman Center, which includes students, faculty, and staff. JumpStart participants will be randomly selected with a total selection of 25-30 participants. *subject to change at director’s discretion
WHERE: The JumpStart Program will hold all of its Pre-Assessments, Post-Assessments, and regular personal training sessions in the weight room located on the second floor of the Beaman Center.
WHY: The JumpStart Weight Management Program is offered to individuals willing to “JumpStart” their overall health and wellness. The participants will learn how to create a healthy lifestyle that will last a lifetime.
HOW: JumpStart is organized and implemented by the Student Coordinator of Personal Training under the supervision of the Graduate Assistant for Personal Training. Trainers are selected from a pool of Beaman Certified trainers, Beaman Center employees, and Exercise Science majors.
