Captains

1. Each captain will be responsible for the behavior and discipline of his/her team and sideline.

2. Team captains are eligible to file protests to the Campus Recreation staff regarding player eligibility, but not on matters which concern the judgment of the officials. These types of protests should be done before the game begins.

3. The captain will act as a spokesperson for his/her team in discussion with game officials or in matters concerning the team or individual players unless signified to the Assistant Director, Graduate Assistant, or the game officials that someone else will be spokesperson. In such a case, the captain will relinquish the rights as spokesman in favor of the person appointed for this stated period.

Teams

1. Teams will be limited to 10 players maximum. The teams can be men, women, and co-rec.

2. Each team must have 6 players on the playing field at the designated time of the game and must maintain a minimum of six players on the field throughout the game.

Time Factors

1. All games will be limited to seven innings or sixty minutes. No innings will start after 50 minutes. Make sure to request the official game starting time.

Forfeit Time: Once the Intramural Staff states that the game is ready to begin and the stated game time is the current time or that time has passed, both teams must be prepared to participate in the scheduled game. If they are not able there will be a grace period of 10 minutes. During that time the clock will run and each minute a team is late they will be awarded one run. If after 10 minutes the team is still unable to field a team they will forfeit the game.

Game Rules

1. All players must be dressed in the same or similar uniform. All uniforms must have a 4 inch or 6 inch number displayed on the front or on the back of the uniform shirt. If the entire team does not have the same or similar uniform shirt, then the entire team MUST wear scrimmage jerseys supplied by the Intramural staff.

2. The kicking team picks a player from their team to be the pitcher.  Each team rolls to their own team. The kicker has 3 rolls to put the ball in play. The kicker may foul the first two rolls off and has got to put the third roll in play or it is an out.

3. No charging home plate or any of the other bases. Players must slide around somebody trying to make a tag.

4. Do not chase the base; stay where you are; where you think the base should be.

5. Mercy Rule: If a team is winning by fifteen runs after four innings and/or ten runs after five innings, the victory will be awarded to the team that is ahead at that time.

6. The team in the field must provide a catcher.

7. YOU CAN NOT THROW THE BALL AT ANY PLAYER AT ANY TIME.

8. No jewelry or jeans. Players can not wear open-toed, open-heeled, or any non-athletic shoes or clothing. No metal cleats are allowed.

9. Players must use the balls provided by intramurals.

 10. The defense must have a pitcher.  The pitcher must start with one foot inside the pitching circle or designated area. Once the ball is released by the offensive pitcher, the defensive pitcher may move anywhere except in front of the offensive pitcher-mainly due to safety.

2007 Women's Kickball Champions

12. Any line-up change must be reported to the umpire every half inning. You can add from the roster to the bottom of the line-up. Additions to rosters must be made before games; no one will be added to a roster once a game has begun. The rosters will be set for the rest of the tournament at the beginning of the first tournament game being played.

13. No bunt kicking, stealing, hit batters or leading off; if you leave the base before the ball is kicked, you are automatically called out.

14. There will be a coin toss to determine home and visitor.

15. A regulation game has 7 innings or lasts for 60 minutes. Home team must have the last at bat. No new inning will begin after 50-minute mark in a game.
