Freshman Fitness Beaman Breakdown

Freshman Fitness directly ties in with the Beaman Center’s fitness campaign, BFit•BU.  Our mission is to educate the Belmont Community on ways to eat right and exercise.  Through a series of convocations, special programming, and a giant kickoff, Freshman Fitness is the place to learn how to keep your body healthy and in shape, no matter what season!

Exclusive to Freshman!  Since 2005, the Beaman Center has hosted Beaman Breakdown, a special night before classes begin in the Fall where Freshman can come and learn more about the Beaman Center, sample group exercise classes, climb the rock wall, use the weight room, and meet new people!  The night offers great entertainment, free food, free T-shirts, and an introduction to Freshman Fitness, a new program offered by Group Fitness.  For two hours, incoming Freshman are invited to tour the facility, work out, and find out more about what the Beaman Center has to offer.  All areas of the Beaman Center, including Group Fitness, Personal Training, Outdoor Pursuits, and Intramurals are represented with tables of information, free prizes, and more!
