Cindy Thornton

department of art faculty cindy thorntonCindy Thornton has been an Art Educator for the past seventeen years. Her experience includes teaching in both public school systems and private education. Cindy holds an Undergraduate degree from MTSU in Art Education and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Trevecca Nazarene University. In 2008 Cindy went back to the MTSU graduate program, and acquired an Administrative License in Education.

Cindy Thornton has been at Franklin Road Academy since 2006, where she teaches Art Education grades Fifth through Twelfth. For the past four years she has also served as the Fine and Preforming Arts Chair at Franklin Road Academy.

“I have always had a passion for art and learning, to be able to see students succeed in Art education is a true joy. I am honored to be a part of the Belmont teaching staff, and to help develop the next generation of Art Educators.”

Cindy lives in the Nashville area with her husband and two sons.
