Hey y’all! My name is John Palmer Rea, and I am so excited to help you learn more about Belmont! I am originally from Mississippi & was raised in southern Illinois. When it was time to look at colleges, I knew I wanted a liberal arts school back in the South, and I was so excited to find Belmont University! I fell in love with Belmont’s incredible community, varied academic & experiential opportunities, and the bustling city of Nashville. I graduated from Belmont in 2014 with a degree in Political Science & Honors and later earned my Masters degree in Higher Education from the University of Mississippi in 2019.

When I’m not on campus, you can find me at Orangetheory, enjoying some live music, or hunkered down in a coffee shop here in America’s "It" City. I look forward to helping you through your college search process and let me be the first to say: Welcome to Belmont!
