Beth Hallmark
Prior to coming to Belmont, I was employed by Vanderbilt University Medical Center as a clinical specialist at the Children's Hospital. My areas of expertise/interest include pediatric surgery and chronic illness.
I graduated from Samford University with an associate's degree in nursing. I continued my bachelor's education at Samford until I transferred to Belmont, where I completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1989. I worked full time as a pediatric nurse at Vanderbilt University Medical Center during my tenure as a student at Belmont. I entered Vanderbilt's master's program in 1992 as a part-time student and continued as a full-time pediatric nurse. I completed my master's degree in child and family nursing in August of 1994. Subsequently, I was offered a clinical specialist position at Children's Hospital.
After the addition of children to my own family, I sought a position that would allow me to share my knowledge and expertise of child and family nursing while enabling me as a mother and wife. I began my career as an instructor at Belmont University in the fall of 1996. I have been blessed with a wealth of mentors and role models on my path in nursing education.
