Gregg Mangiafico
Gregg Mangiafico is an Adjunct Instructor of Music (Synthesizer) in the Belmont University School of Music.
Mr. Mangiafico received his Bachelor of Arts (Music Composition) from the University of New Hampshire. He has also completed Master-level course work in Classical Piano, Jazz Piano and Composition.
From live concert performances to studio recording and ad production, Mr. Mangiafico is one of the nation's top studio performers and TV commercial writers. Having spent over 10 years as one of New York's top-call session players on piano, organ and synthesizer, Mr. Mangiafico has performed on recordings for and/or with: Michael Jackson, Billy Joel, Cher, Michael Bolton, John Waite, Carly Simon, Judy Collins, Ronnie Spector, Kenny Loggins, Bob Marley and the Wailers, Elvin Jones, Branford Marsalis, Omar Hakim, Marcus Miller, Ron Carter, Phil Ramone, Desmond Child and various other artists and producers. His live performance experience includes concerts and/or tours with: Billy Joel, Clark Terry at Montreaux Jazz Festival, Terumasa Hino, Marc Shaiman, Ronnie Spector, Dion and the Belmonts, Paul Shaffer and Felix Cavaliere.
In addition to his teaching at Belmont, Mr. Mangiafico composes for nation-wide TV commercials and shows, as well as arranges, produces and programs for local Nashville writers. Not only is Mr. Mangiafico a gifted musician and writer (he has received a Gold Clio, Silver Clio, MOMA Award for Ad Excellence, two New York Film Festival Awards and numerous Gold and Platinum records), he is also an advocate for music education. Mr. Mangiafico is a Founding Partner for SharpKey, Inc and Master Class - a music learning company.
Mr. Mangiafico is a member of the Screen Actors Guild, Musician's Union, AFTRA, and NARAS.
