Concert Band
The Belmont Concert Band is a university ensemble that studies excellent band literature and provides wind and percussion players of all majors with an artistic opportunity to perform in a concert ensemble. As well, the concert band serves as an outlet for vocal and instrumental music-education majors to study a secondary instrument and provides a lab setting for conducting students.Membership is open to all students by audition regardless of major. Some university-owned instruments are available for use. No audition is required, but a short part-placement audition will be held to determine seating in the ensemble. The Concert Band meets in the fall and spring semesters on Mondays and Fridays, 3:00-4:20 p.m., in Belmont Heights Baptist Church and performs between two and four concerts annually. The course (MUN 4730.01: Concert Band) is available for one hour of credit.
