Belmont Chamber Singers

Belmont Chamber Singers (MUN 3920) is a choral ensemble comprised of 24 - 30 singers who perform a variety of music styles from Pre-Renaissance to Twentieth Century. The ensemble performs three to four concerts per year and tours during the Fall semester. The ensemble embraces unaccompanied music as a primary focus and the music is learned without the aid of a piano at any time during the process.
The singers are expected to listen to the ensemble and offer suggestions about the sound being created at every stage of a composition's development. Those persons seeking auditioned membership in Chamber Singers are expected to participate for two consecutive semesters. Rehearsals are two periods each week: Tuesday and Thursday at 5:00-6:15 pm. This course offers one hour of ensemble credit.
Music director: Dr. Deen Entsminger, Belmont University. He may be contacted at 615-460-8207.
Audition required.
