In 2006, Nashville Opera established the Nashville Opera Fellows program in conjunction with Belmont University. This program is designed to provide singers who are pursuing master’s degrees in vocal performance valuable experience with a professional opera company.
Fellows gain performance experience by performing in Nashville Opera’s chorus and covering roles in the touring production, as well as being part of the university’s opera productions. They also participate in masterclasses and career development workshops alongside the Mary Ragland Young Artists.
Fellows will receive scholarship funds with the possibility of further compensation for additional performances. All Fellows receive complimentary tickets to Nashville Opera’s mainstage productions.
Interested candidates for 2017-2018 should complete an application by January 1, 2017. Candidates may contact the Director of Education and Outreach Anna Young at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
