An important step in your pursuit of a career devoted to music is selecting a university with quality education and faculty. For many of us, the graduate school experience offers inspiration and mentoring that shapes our personal, professional and artistic lives. At Belmont University's School of Music, we strive to provide a graduate education that will inspire our students and serve them well for a lifetime.
Belmont is a mid-sized, liberal arts university. Located near the heart of Nashville, Tennessee - a thriving city with a rich and varied musical community - we offer our students the personal attention of a small liberal arts school combined with the professional resources of a large school of music.
Many resources are available on the Belmont campus: a comprehensive music library with full-time staff; the Massey Performing Arts Center, which contains the 1,000-seat Massey Concert Hall and the 100-seat Harton Recital Hall; the Wilson Music Building, with state-of-the-art music technology labs; a vocal arts lab, numerous classrooms, studios and practice rooms; the Belmont Mansion Grand Salon, which provides a historic setting for chamber music; and a recently opened 876-seat venue for acoustic performances, McAfee Concert Hall.
